What locations did you have in mind? and/or what locations can you suggest?
We did one at Luther Burbank Home and Gardens some time ago, and did some sketching in downtown and lower 4th as well. Either of those locations could work, or any other.
Railroad Square might be a good choice...interesting architecture, nice coffee shops. Another place I thought of was the corner of Santa Rosa Ave and Sonoma Ave. There is a park with a neat fish statue and city hall is across the road. The Rose Parade is May 15 and downtown area might be a problem as far as parking and crowds. On the other hand, if you like drawing people and floats, it would be a perfect opportunity. Howarth Park would be nice for scenery, ducks, children and playgrounds. Good to hear from other Santa Rosa sketchers.
Hi - There will some sketchers out at 10 am. I hope to be there about 9:30 or 10:00
Franklin all the way to the other (south) end of the cemetery and turn left on Terrace Way. Parking and the entrance will be to your left (if I've been informed correctly). I'm not familiar with the neighborhood but I think there are places to have lunch afterward if anyone is so inclined.
