Hi,
Yes, I am thinking that the weather might be warm enough by then.

Hi - any suggestions for the sketchcrawl? - somewhere in the city or surrounds ?

There are so many places in Sydney with interesting architecture and opportunities for people watching.

You went to Cockatoo Island last time didn't you? Not wanting to go there again?
Blackwattle Bay is not bad if it's a nice day. I go there to sketch. You can walk around towards the city from the bottom of Glebe Point Road. Not sure how far you can get.
As well as the harbour scenes, there are strange marine machineries like this one

I prefer to draw urban lanscape, if anyone has any good ideas about that.

I will suggest Kiribilli, is a good urban landscape, the roofs of the old houses with the Harbour Bridge behind...

Not long to go now - lets make a decision on where to meet and sketch. Either Blackwattle Bay or Kirribilli would be great -lots of people strolling by, old architecture, skylines and coffee shops as well. As long as there are places where we can sit back and draw and also a bit of shelter in case of rain or extreme heat. Can someone suggest a place to meet to begin and some good places to go once we are there?

There's not really any shelter at Blackwattle Bay. Can't speak about Kirribilli - I don't know the area.

This is not probably going to help much.... but I am happy with either location... especially as I am not sure how long I will be able to join you

As there are only 3 days to go I would like to suggest the following:

Shall we meet at Blackwattle Bay on Saturday morning ? If QuirkyArtist can name a place to meet and let us know (coffee shops are always good) and we can start sketching there and move on from there.

I will be beginning my sketchcrawl earlier in the morning

Hope you can all make for some part of the sketchcrawl and we can get a few more people interested each time.

I'm in! I await your final choice of meeting location. Can someone PM me a phone number in case I am delayed?

Hi - I am in as well... and can meet at any time in the morning. Alissa do you want to make it at 10am?
I am happy with Blackwattle Bay - but unfortunately do not know the area so can't suggest a meeting place

Hi,
I am in also. I was the one who suggested Blackwattle Bay. However there is no shelter there, and it would only be nice if the weather was good. I have suggested to Alissa that maybe we meet at Darling Harbour. If it is cold we can sketch inside, or even go to Chinatown. If the weather is nice, we could walk round the Pyrmont way. There is a finger wharf not far past the casino. There is also the boats on the water from the Maritime Museum.

Maybe we could meet at Harbourside Monorail station about 10am. Could be there earlier.
Link to map.

There are probably more exciting places, but given the weather, this maybe gives us a lot of options according to the weather. Happy to listen to anyone else's ideas.

That suits me fine ( I would struggle to get there before 10am!)... lets hope the weather forecast is right and that it will be finer and warmer than today!
