Adventures in a Moleskine sketchbook...
While puttering around the internet I found a increasing group of people devoted to a Italian notebook called the Moleskine. Unlike the journal version, there is a sketchbook with a little thicker paper which handles ink beautifully. But the main complaint to a lot of artist is its inability to accept watercolors. I wonder if others have tried it on their sketching travels and what creative tips they can give me.
Moleskins are beautiful sketchbooks ... the main attraction is that they have no gutter ... you can draw on a spread, both pages wide open without trouble ... but yeah, they really don't work for watercolors ...
major problem for me, at least lately ...
Their line seems to be getting more diversified, they really should put out a waterbased media friendly sketchbook ... we should write to them !

I believe that there is a special drawing Moleskine now with thick pages, you could see some of theme here:http://stores.ebay.com/Ninth-Wave-Designs (but they are in vacations until 6/1/05 sorry... you can go here to http://www.moleskine.co.uk/ )
Concerning me, I have bought the japaneese notebook...it 's so beautiful...but I have to finish my Fabriano (by chance the same as Enrico huhu) first hihi!

I just saw this on a few other blogs. Moleskine now has a watercolor version.
