Reykjavik, Iceland [Results]
Any sketchers wanna join me in Reykjavik on Saturday October 15th? I was planning to start at Hresso at 2pm. Hresso is an off venue for Airwaves so there will be musicians there to draw, or it might be to chaotic to draw there. Then perhaps venture outside spread out and find some good spots to sketch in the downtown area, staying warm and sheltered from the wind. If anybody has a better idea of where to go sketching lets discuss.

Re: Reykjavik, Iceland
Met up with 3 other sketchers at the cafe Hresso. Icelandic Airwaves music festival is taking place here now and there was some free live music playing while we sketched, but it was a bit chaotic with the crowd of people. Afterwards the group went outside to sketch, but it was a bit cold so we ended up in the new Harpa music hall which has excellent views over the city from comfy warm sofa areas. Thanks for a great day out sketching!

Great sketches Reykjavik! I like your style erlingingi. What is that you're using - ink? Looks almost like charcoal in one?
Some great captures there Ingunn, love the faces! You guys sure look cold enough in that photo but great to see your sketches

Thank you Kim.M. These are done with water soluble graphite. I ground a pencil down into a small container that I can dip a wet brush into. This gives me a "ink" that is somewhat erasable and blends well with pencils that I put on top. It´s a handy technique for fast sketching.

Aaaah! Thanks for the tip! I detected a sort of smudgy, graphite-y feel to it. Very nice

These are cracking! Especially since you were all in such a confined spot, yet that works wonderfully reading your different images of the same subject matter. Fantastic! I feel like I was there at the bar!D
