Finished up with another awesome group at the Talking Stick Resort and am on to round 2 here around my home. Here is what I have so far - I'll post some more this evening I hope. So good seeing everyone again - look forward to the next one!

Stage 2 of my sketchcrawl was with my youngest daughter who just turned 4 and was supposed to be napping. She has two sketches to contribute. I am still searchig for a quiet place to do one or 2 more. This is a challenging day to get any actual sketching done .
What a fantastic day. I bit off more than I could chew with this drawing/painting. Need to downsize the amount of subject matter. Not fast enough to do something like this in the time I had to finish it. So I'm late as usual.
You can find some of my other past sketchcrawl entries on my blog http://mossgatejournalcafe.blogspot.com/
Once there click on blog "Journal 7". Also check out "Journal 5" for travel journals and sketches.
Here is a photo of the subject matter that I was drawing.
I work from photos so recently purchased an "Idea Pad" (no, not an I-Pad) but about the same size but heavier because it has a keyboard and probably a heavier battery. So this carrier holds my computer as well as my sketching supplies. I can sit somewhere comfortable and sketch from the computer screen while still on location. This concept would be perfect for a day when the weather is bad and you still want to sketch something from outside but go into a coffee shop perhaps to do the actual sketch work.
Before getting started I had a delicious cup of aromatic cappuccino. The pastries in the coffee shop case looked very inviting but I decided to save my appetite for lunch.
Here are a couple of other photos from the Casino Arizona section and Talking Stick Resort.

Wow - sooooo cool to see your work. I was born in Phoenix, though I moved from the States with my folks at age 5 - and haven't been back to Phoenix since (seen relatives in WVa and TN - and a few other places but basically - east coast). I'm looking into finding a sketchcrawl group near me but had to say hi to y'all as you're in my place of birth! I guess it helps me feel connected to my roots more.
