Looks like the Sketchcrawl "anti-rain" force field is still in effect! Seems like even when it's threatening, it never does more than drizzle a little. Wish I could have made this one, the neighborhood looked gritty but intriguing. VERY nice sketches and paintings here. Erwin, your color choices and technique really captured the realism and the mood. I like Enrico's cars as well, they capture the styling of the vehicles, but have a squishy, organic feel.
I'm working hard to get everything ready for my first table at WonderCon, so I'm kind of being a hermit for the rest of this month, but I will definitely be there next crawl!
wow! all the sketches are stylish in their own way, and lively and cool. erwin, the paintings are rad! i dig the mood. i think id like to join you all next time
A couple of the striking red smoke stack on the DHL building... I can't believe how different the color is from opposite sides...
from North-West of it:
from "warm cove", just South of it:
One other from warm cove, of a concrete chunk of a stairway dumped on the shore, and a few from The Ramp:
This was my first sketchcrawl and loved it. So many different and beautiful styles of sketching at the finish point at Piccino's.
I just started sketching a couple months ago so I'm a little timid to show anything yet. Next time though.

Those are all awesome-I actually forgot about sketchcrawl after I'd been planning on it for a while and realized that day "Oh! Oh..." But I promise I'll make it next time. I love the gouasch, Erwin, it looks really cool. I've been meaning to try it for the longest time!
