SOUTH COAST, MENDOCINO CA FINAL (RESULTS)
Okay folks along the Mendocino coast and beyond, let's see how many of us can make it for the 24th Sketchcrawl?

Re: SOUTH COAST, MENDOCINO CA (RESULTS)
Okay, results are trickling in. Here are my sketches (gaelwriter):
The first sketch is at an old coastal ranch house, circa. 1870s; abandoned in 1960s:
Next is the redwood water tower supplying the house with water pumped from the well beneath:
Next is a popular cafe in nearby town of Point Arena, called the "Fog Eater," which pays tribute to that wonderful, thick fog that sometimes envelopes us on the coast, though it was sunny today!
Finally, here is the last burst of life from the evening primrose in my backyard. It usually sends out only one or two blossoms each night, which quickly wilt in the sunlight, but at the end of its life, in September, it throws out every thing it has left, like a fireworks crescendo:
Now, here are two sketches from fellow artist, DORISE FORD.
Dorise's first sketch is of some old-time coastal bungalows near Manchester:
Her next one is of a famous landmark off our coast, Fish Rock:
We will post others as the sketchers report in.

Re: SOUTH COAST, MENDOCINO CA FINAL RESULTS
-- I edited your posts in two ways, gaelwriter, so everyone can share the joy of watching your sketches.
1. for a HOW TO post, you might want to check out this link we set up here:
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=2224#p15843
2. to make clear you are passing from arranging dates and places for a SCrawl we usually encourage SCrawlers to add "RESULTS") in the headline of your first topci .. just click on edit ... and done
Thanks for sharing - I like the house in the woods most.

Re: SOUTH COAST, MENDOCINO CA FINAL (RESULTS)
First, thanks to Thorsten and Paint Monster for their comments.
I'm not sure what to make of Thorsten's editing suggestions. His first edit note mentions not being able to see pictures, and subsequently refers me to a FAQ for uploading pictures. However, he was able to see the sketch of house in the woods? Not the other three? I shall have to check with friends whether they had same trouble. My recent visits to Sketchcrawl site never revealed any sketch loading problem. I sort of get his point about trying to avoid confusing viewers about where organizing for the sketch day ends, and sketch results begin. I did edit my original label to show (RESULTS) in title, but couldn't figure out how to delete the responses of people who planned to participate. I notice some groups simply abandon their original notice, and post an entirely new entry to show their group's sketches after the crawl day. I'll probably do the same next time.
Again, thanks Thorsen, and Paint Monster.

Re: SOUTH COAST, MENDOCINO CA FINAL (RESULTS)
Dear Gaelwriter, everything is fine. I rearranged all the pic's allready - therefore I could trace back the links AND see the house in the woods
It's just technical mal-function in between different systems (original source and this platform). You don't have to delete any posts - and you don't have access to do so - if they are not yours. Your idea to set up a new thread is perfect. And regarding the "RESULTS": It's just that you will be found.
Again, thanks for loading up the pictures,
T

Thanks for your comments surrealsorel, granny c, and kumi.
One of our sketchers, Arna, had her computer's scanner fail after sketchcrawl day, and so I've scanned her drawing for her and am adding it to the rest. Here's Arna's view from her kitchen window:
