New Orleans (RESULT)

Post by revengeofthepencil »

So it was just me today, and I'm afraid I had to run home a little early to cook dinner. Still, I did manage to get in a few sketches that I'm pretty happy with. Note that the stern-looking judge was not there in the flesh - that's the statue of Justice Edward Douglas White on the steps of the courthouse on Royal Street. I'd like to do this again for the next Sketch Crawl, especially if I could get at least one other person to show up. Perhaps I need to do a little more to promote this if it's actually going to catch on in New Orleans.

I know the more the merrier but it is OK to sketch solo too as often is my case in Bangkok. Your sketches are beautiful. I like your soulful lines, perfect for the soulful city of New Orleans.

The steeple and the doorway are very well done, and the statue of the judge is excellent!

Beautiful! The elaborate doorway and the clock tower have really nice solemn ambience.
