San Francisco 11th crawl
I just bought our tickets:
Enrico, Marilyn, Danny, and Oliver - I have 1 round trip ticket for each of you. The cost was $13.50 per person. Hopefully everyone's cool with that.
I have an extra ONE way ticket ($6.75) if anyone wants to buy it.
I asked the person at the booth if there's a way to buy them online and she said that there is no way to do that now (they're not that hi tech yet). You also can't buy them over the phone. You have to go to the booth to get one. The tickets that I bought are good for any Sausalito ferry on any day so we aren't bound to a particular time slot.
See ya'll on Saturday!

Bad news. I might not be able to make it to this crawl anymore. I just got a new job and I'm starting class this weekend.
Come checks me stuffs: http://johntravieso.carbonmade.com/
Thanks for the tickets Ann!
BTW: PACK LIGHT! I made that mistake the first time... --remember anything you bring with you will have to be lugged around ALL DAY.
I remember I brought lots of stuff "just in case" and I regretted it.
this time I'm bringing 1 (and only 1) sketchbook, a pencil, a pen, a sharpener, 1 small bottle of water, and a bag to carry it all in ...maybe a hat to block the sun. --Oh!! Wear Sun Screen!
See ya soon!

Yikes! Lost track of time
I meant to join in on the group ticket purchase and the week got away from me and I've missed all the messages between page 3 and 8. I'm planning to attend with another east bay artist. Is there a serious risk of not being able to get ferry tickets now? Do you think my friend and I need to get there earlier than 11 to be sure to get a ticket? Any recommendations? I'm looking forward to doing this first sketchcrawl and meeting everyone.
Thanks,
Jana
Thanks,
Jana
Ann- thanks !
Jana- it's hard to tell ... we've been told they sometimes sell out ... I would recommend going to buy the ticket before the 11am meeting ...
But in general I wouldn't worry too much about it ...
worse case scenario one can draw around the ferry building till the next ferry. There's plenty to draw there ...

Looks like all systems are go--I'll be heading to SF tomorrow for my second SketchCrawl! (Last one was the Alcatraz...I guess I'm only doing the ones that involve ferries ). I've tried to make it to other SCs, but something always came up. But this time it looks like my schedule is clear ::knock on wood::.
I'm coming from the central valley, so I'll most likely park in El Cerrito and take BART to Embarcadero. I don't have a ticket yet for the ferry, so I'm just planning to get to the ferry building around 10am. Then I'll do some warm-up sketches around the ferry building--it's one of my favorite buildings in all the city! (BART is going to be good for warming up too--I like drawing people in the stations at each stop--a good speed exercise)
I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
