The center of Reno's primary industry in the 1930s--divorce. Nearly 33,000 were granted during that decade. Marilyn Monroe was shown on these steps in the movie "The Misfits." The building was the first independent commission of Frederic DeLongchamps, a local architect who went on to design many of Reno's notable buildings.
