Little Italy, 10 January 2009
Little Italy has lovely elm trees. Dutch elm disease does not do well in cold climates. Edmonton has the second largest stand of elm trees in North America. (Winnipeg has the largest.) Permanent marker on front of plastic transparency, oil pastel on back, backed by coloured pastel paper.

This has a very wintery look. Well done.
Pawn Shop, 10 January 2009
There are many pawn shops in Edmonton. Usury thrives. Permanent marker on front of plastic transparency, oil pastel on back, backed by coloured pastel paper.

Thank you, kumi. Since all the drawing and coloring is done on the plastic transparency, this gives me the freedom to chosoe the background color afterwards, which is nice. Terry
