Nora - Sweden [RESULTS]
Nora - Sweden [RESULTS]
Here are the results from the Swedish town Nora which was around +12 degrees, windy and with a few showers and a bit of sunshine. There were 5 of us sketching and enjoying the views of Nora (and later Pershyttan) for quite a few hours. This date is not the best of dates for us Swedish vikings as the 20th, was the Midsummer's eve ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midsummer ) and that means the biggest celebration eve of all, in Sweden. But we managed to gather a small group and here are our results with sketches and photos, with a break in a café in Nora for a while. The pole with the leaves is the typical symbol for Midsummer which we decided to draw in Pershyttan which is a few minutes drive outside of Nora.
Enjoy!

Looks like you had a good time and a very nice day...All the best.
Re: Nora - Sweden [RESULTS]
It looks like you had a good group today, and lots of good sketching got done. I enjoyed the photos showing everyone busy at work, as well as the sketch of everyone working submitted by Christina.
Re: Nora - Sweden [RESULTS]
My first sketchcrawl ever! I had a great time, and I´m already looking forward to the next crawl.
Re: Nora - Sweden [RESULTS]
You all did a superb job and I really enjoyed seeing the photos of sketchers in action.
Re: Nora - Sweden [RESULTS]
Dear Swedish! Sorry you missed the Euro-Quarterfinals but you rock with your crawl around the clock .. errgh .. tree!
Is it a tree for midsummer-fest or still standing on from spring? Sorry for asking maybe obvious and therefore stupid questions ...
.. thanks for sharing your wonderful day around!

Dear Peter Pen,
Well, I don't think any of us crawlers cared much about the Euro-quarterfinals anyway... Not our cup of tea so to speak.
Thanks for the comments!
And hey, there aren't any stupid questions!
The pole for Midsummer is not a tree from spring, it is usually chopped down (a real growing tree) and cleaned from brances and then dressed with leaves and flowers. Then it usually is left, a long time after Midsummer, getting more and more dry leaves, that is quite a sad sight to see=realizing the summer is almost over and the long winter is getting closer...

Yes, I must admitt me too likes Christinas 3rd, but whole impression is in the group.
I warned the world of your invasion last time, but no one would listen, now it is too late,
you've already conquored our hearts. Thanks for sharing the photos. Cheers, all!

Re: Nora - Sweden [RESULTS]
This time and last time, your sketches and photos are so interesting! I went back to look at them quite a few times. You have a really good group there, all the sketches are very accomplished and individual, and then the photos make such a good complement to them. When I see all these sketches and photos, it makes me want to come to Sweden and see Nora -- even though I never knew such a place existed before I saw your drawings and photos.

Your group was really busy. I love all the photos of everyone working and the area.
Christina - Lovely view of the river! I like your sketches of the other sketchcrawlers. Love the last building!
Tine - I wish your sketches were smaller. I couldn't see them because they were so large.
Anne - The two done in color are lovely!! Good ink sketch of the cup and the chair.
Annika - Super job! I love your close crops of the buildings.
