WWSC 71 Tallahassee Florida USA [RESULTS]
World Wide Sketchcrawl number 71 April 17, 2021

We met at Optimist Park/creek in Indianhead neighborhood.
15 artists checked in with me.
we didn't see the Beaver, but enjoyed the pond, mudworks and
the shady path along the creek with gullies and fantastic trees and roots.

We started off with a longinsh draw at the Beaver pond, then we moved quickly (for us) in the sketchcrawl tradition.

Some people felt rain early in the day, but I guess we were spread out over the park; Nary a drop hit my sketches. From 9-5:30 the weather was cool and comfortable, with sunshine in the late afternoon. I guess our Optimism about the weather paid off!

Hi Mark,
fantastic drawings from you and all of the group!
I like the very detailed drawings of nature in characteristic styles by different artists.
These trees and roots around the beaver pond are amazing!
The sketches of Tom and Jen are looking somehow mystical for me, very appealing.
Lovely doll by Mary.

After a quick workaround the images from SC in Vienna are now displayed as usual.
(It took me some time to locate the source of the problem.)

Hi, Mark, It looks like a fabulous day. I am sorry I couldn’t join all of you at Optimist Park, but at least I did some sketching here at home. I love Yoshika’s sketches. They’re gorgeous. Yours are all fantastic, as always. They have such depth and organic connection. Bill did a great job of photographing the event.

Hi Joyce,
I'm so glad you could " join us " from home this sketchcrawl.

I love the backstory about your Father's Tree.

Sorry I had some problems uploading this week.
I couldn't edit once posted so some images are loaded twice, and others not at all. Then I couldn't change the names ot text.
Manfred also experienced some difficulties.
Strange because we've done this for decades, & if you look at past sketchcrawls we had hundreds of cities and no problems reported.
Oh Well.
All's well that ends well.

Oh my goodness! What a wonderful post by your group from Florida. And what a magical place that Beaver Pond is. The place inspired so many lovely sketches. I always enjoy seeing the work from Tallahassee. Thanks, also, Mark, for your comments. Much appreciation.
