Wichita artists sketched from Herman Hill Park while sketchers in England participated in another virtual, stay-at-home sketchcrawl.
The WATER Center in Herman Hill Park was built to treat polluted groundwater. Besides providing water remediation, the center gives information about water use and conservation. A small wilderness area was created adjacent to the center.
Melissa and Mary captured views of the WATER Center
Anita and Doug created pictures of nature around the center.
Sarah joined us from Oregon and painted a scene from Herman HIll Park on Google images. You can see one of many disk golf baskets in the park.
Far away from Wichita, in Somerset, England, Penny and Eddie joined us in spirit. Penny painted flowers from the garden while Eddie created a linocut print of a tree in their garden.
Here are the Wichita sketchers
A few more details about the WATER Center
Thank you to everyone for participating and thanks to Sketchcrawl folks for giving us a nice reason to gather.

Thank you for this little trip in beautiful sketches from one continent to another. Great way to share some good times drawing and painting. Thank you

Nice idea to join artists together.
Marvelous drawings of nature, especially the flying bird.
Very inspiring colors of foliage and flowers in Somerset.
And I have been amazed to see a linocut print in the Sketchcrawl Forum.
Awesome artwork!

Beautiful and inspiring sketches of your environment, Wichita! You chose a great location to inspire great drawings.
We saw Beaver chaws like that where we were, too.
Here's an image I think you might like...by one of our "lost" sketchcrawlers, Jennifer Clinard. Wish she had been with us but she was releasing rehabilitated Herons into the wild.

I'm glad you included the Goldbarth Poem.

Re: Wichita, KANSAS [RESULTS]
Seeing all of these drawings of flowers and nature really uplifts the spirit. Beautiful work.

Thank you for kind comments, Aqualic01, m9fred, Mark, and KJulin.
The crow picture is aweseome. Is is a linocut print?
I thought Eddie's linocut 'sketch' was a first for Sketchcrawl, too. Looks like the tree in the background!
All the best to the Sketchcrawl community. Here's hoping the next sketchcrawl safely permits more gatherings, more reunions of sketchers.

Hey Crow,
It's scratchboard...black coating on a white board
you can scratch with a needle or knife or screwdriver or stylus
Not expensive, we get it from craft stores
