We had a great day--98 degrees, blue skies and sunshine and 4 new sketchers to our little group--7 of us in all. Here are some photos of the Tucson contingent and drawings to come later.
Getting started:
First Sketch of the day
Tucson coordinator, Donnam
Lunch at the old train station
Sketching in the much needed shade at Old Town Artisans--Helen is doing this crawl in a boot--what a trooper!

Wow! My hat's off to you all! It was a gorgeous day, but I couldn't have handled the heat!
You deserves extra applause! Especially you Helen. You go!!!
Hubby and I spent the day getting ready for our Sunday mountain bike ride so I know how warm it got. 98?Still cooler than Phoenix!
Hope you all had a great time and can't wait to see the sketches of your crawl. Denise

Here are some of my sketches. Early on, my left brain was in charge--ugh, but finally my right side kicked in, I think. Here are a few of my sketches. Hope you enjoy!
Painted on the walls at the Childrens Museum
Random drawings at Old Town Artisans
Walked outside Old Town and saw this bldg. Thought you might want to see a pic of what I was sketching--so first the photo and then the sketch
Finally, the last stop at the Tucson Museum of Art. This is part of a painting done by Daniel Gonzalez
That's it for me. More to come from the rest of the group--stay tuned....

I had so much fun on this sketchcrawl! I love that there were so many of us...it makes it so much more fun!!!
I also liked that I raised some money for Emergency, too. I'll be sending in some checks as soon as I get organized to do so.
for some reason my images aren't showing up here.

We are living in a time when civilization has become highly expert in the art of destroying human beings and increasingly weak in its power to bring meaning to their lives. --Ben Shahn
