Hi Artists:
Thanks to Gustavo the Administrator for creating a page WWSC 68 during these difficult times!
And to M9fred and Rands of Wien SC for staying in touch!
I understand a lot is going on, much of it tragic, but
we need to stay connected more than ever and SKETCHCRAWL is a great way to do this!
There's still a ot of good in the world that we see by sketching and bring out in each other by sharing Art!

CRAWL number 68! July 25th, 2020

Thanks for participating and for looking at our website!

In my day, maybe the most interesting CRAWL was a snail who CRAWLED into Mama Mockingbird's nest. The mama bird imitated a bluejay as she flew away when I approached her nest. Was she telling me to leave her baby snail alone?

SO lucky to see them in your own garden!

Cuban Cousin The Knight (or Equestrian) Anole [15 inches] below

I was discovered by a new (to me) reptile: As I sat drawing tree stumps, a Knight Anole sat watching me. What a surprise when I finally noticed!
Distinguished from its little American cousins by its large head in proportion to its body and bright yellow stripe, as well as its inquisitive personality, lizard was a decent model compared to the restless Florida anoles and much better than the giant but skittish green iguanas [below]:

Outstanding artwork from Tallahassee!
Animals (particularly pets) and plants are preferred motifs this sketchcrawl.
Cute dogs spending a rainy day on their pillows.
I like the beautiful drawings from fauna and flora.
Your Anoles are very interesting reptiles and your description of the snake in the birds nest is informative too.

Wonderful sketches! I think you folks show how important our pets and wildlife have been while we're mostly stuck at home.
I think the world will still be dealing with Covid 19 the rest of this year. I hope the next scheduled sketchcrawl follows your example---people managing to connect through sketching, even if people are in individual locations.
