London, UK, crawl anyone?

Post by sumacm »

Greetings Sketchcrawlers -
I'm usually a New York City crawler but will actually be in London for this one... would love to meet up to sketch with anyone around there. Pick a time/place and I'll be there.

Ok London Crawlers this one's coming up soon, so time to start deciding . We never made it to The British Museum last time , which was Tom's suggestion . So i'm going to put up that as a first option . Plenty of people around again, stationary, which helps . And we've got the option of inside or out.
Also Russell Square isn't too far away . Its more like a mini park or green. Should still look good this time of year.
So before we run out of time . Any other ideas as to locations ?

Hi everyone. I'll be there again as usual.

The British Museum sounds like a good option. The large courtyard has plenty of seating and the museum offers folding chairs as well. Russell Square has always seemed slightly abandoned whenever I've been there, though.

Think i'll be there around 11.00/11.30 . Maybe start from the South African Landscape garden ? it's centre left as you walk past the main gate .There's a long stone wall/bench that overlooks it . Makes it easier for everyone to find us. Forecast is no rain for Sat as well but cooler then it has been.
And thanks Suma for starting the thread , hope you can still make it.

Sounds great, I'm in!
I'll probably get there around 10 as well, and will try to go to the meeting point mentioned at 11 (the bench overlooking what is/was the South Africa themed landscape garden).

I'm in!
I've been meaning to come to SketchCrawl for some time now so it's damn good luck I decided to check up on here today. I will be there at 10, too.

At 3pm on Saturday I will be attending a Burlesque Life Drawing class if anyone if interested in going to that as well. It's £10 if you RSVP at the site and £15 if you just show up:

Looking forward to seeing everyone at SketchCrawl!

Looks like it's a fairly controlled entry line to the museum grounds today -- I don't see anyone else but will propose any Sketchcrawlers still around (and reading this) could meet at the Maps and Guide Books kiosk at 1 pm to share work (to the left in the great court as you enter the museum). Here's hoping...
