We sharpened our pencils Saturday and enjoyed a scenic and inspiring day of drawing at Mobile Museum of Art. Our fair city took its place among more than 80 cities participating worldwide. The morning started out cold and wet as we gather at MMA, but quickly cleared up and turned into a beautiful, crisp, clear day -- perfect for enjoying the museum and surrounding park. Later, we reconvened in the Museum's education wing for refreshments. During the post-sketching social hour, volunteers scanned and uploaded sketches to MobileSketchCrawl.com (http://www.mobilesketchcrawl.com and the international SketchCrawl website. The Mobile Arts Council http://www.mobilearts.org/will be displaying many of the original drawing this month in their gallery on Dauphin Street.
