Re: Washington, DC USA [RESULTS]
It was indeed a lot of fun. In order to stay warm, we spent most of our time in museums along the mall, looking for interesting sculptures to sketch:
We got a view of the Natural History Museum and the Old Post Office across the Mall from a window in the Hirschhorn:
We stopped inside the U.S. Botanic Gardens after lunch:
We finished at the National Sculpture Garden, which has an ice rink in the wintertime:

Very nice work, but I think the next sketchcrawl isn't until May?

Here's a quick sketch of two fellow sketchcrawlers
A study of three of four Shitenno (guardian figures) from the Kamakura period (Japan, 1185-1333)
A couple reading Mungo Thompson's Philosophy Rug #3
And two quick gestures of museum-goers, a woman holding up a child to view art, and a woman getting a close-up photograph at the botanic garden
Uh-oh, I'm not sure how to get the images to appear. But if you visit my blog, http://metrosketro.blogspot.com/, you can view my sketches from the SketchCrawl, as well as quick sketches of fellow commuters.

Very interesting sketches. All of yours are great, but I like Ctribastone's National gallery one the most.
Oh, I couldn't see erinmthompson's image. However I saw them on your blog. Nice work!
Thankyou for the sharing.
