Great fun as always!
This was what I was drawing while sitting on the cannon in Gary's sketch. The whole time all I could think of was how soon I'd be able to get a cup of coffee...
Cannon details -- Ultima Ratio Regum means "the final argument of kings", if I remember correctly.
I've been using loose-leaf paper rather then sketchbooks for awhile, and often draw on multiple sheets of paper so that I don't feel limited by the edge of the page. Then I composite them together in photoshop.
One of the hi-tech parking meters that contrast with the quaint historical architecture.
Another attempt at a panorama over multiple sheets of paper, looking out towards the Golden Gate bridge. It was actually much too windy for this method, and if I was to go back I'd probably go with Marc's heavy watercolor blocks as a more appropriate paper choice.
I love seeing everyone's work; I'm glad I got to see so much at the final meetup.
See you guys next time!

It is a great pleasure to see all of your sketches What a bunch of talented people! So many styles! Just awesome!
Re: San Francisco: Presidio [RESULTS}
I was so happy to meet up with everyone again! there are some truly fun and talented people in the SF Sketchcrawl... I was nervous about the Presidio at first because of the remoteness, but it actually isn't that far away by bicycle (I got there in about 40 minutes straight from the Embarcadero BART). All the beautiful nature and old buildings was a pleasure to draw. It's really nice to be in a place without any billboards or too many cars either.
I didn't get a lot done though--I spent a lot of time talking! That was great too but I think next time I want to force myself to create more drawings. It's so great having all that space in the Presidio to paint though... I brought a nice gouache tray with me...

Great sketches, SF group!
I was in SF last week on a sight-seeing tour and loved the city. There is so much to sketch in SF. Every street, every tree, almost everything in SF will look beautiful in sketches.
