Lovely sketches and paintings - thank you all for sharing. I'm especially smitten by the wonderful light in Carlos' and Patapeint's paintings. Are they gouache? How do you handle tubes, mixing colours etc while out and about?

Wow! So productive and gorgeous !I especially like the park and rue Mouffetard.
Olivier Malric's
I like the guy next a car and a dog above it.

Hi everyone, thanks for the feedback!

John D: Oh yes the sringtime!!! I'm sooo glad it's here after that loooong winter!! Definitely motivating to go out more!

mrccrm: You're right, canal saint Martin could be a great place for the next sketchcrawl!..

adammurphy: Yes, Patrice and I used gouache for these sketches, it is a lot of fun and very practical. Regarding the tubes, colors etc, I used a very basic palette, two tones of each primary, some emerald green and a couple of earth tones like yellow ocre and raw umber. Concerning the lighting, squinting when you look at the subject is the best way to go. Oh and a nice thing is to have something to spray a little water on your palette from time to time to keep your paint from drying too quickly! I hope this helps.

jayf: Glad you could join this time! On se refait ça!!!
