Blue Mountains, Australia [RESULTS]

Post by borrominibear »

No response from anyone in the Blue Mountains so I did it alone today!

I am normally part of the Sydney team but was away for 2.5 days in the Blue Mountains 1.5 ours out of Sydney. I have been sketching the whole time so my sketchcrawl has been a marathon since Thursday afternoon. As I was doing the tourist thing, I didn’t go on a sketching excursion today (weather wasn’t the best either) but I did sketch whenever I could and tried to record every event of my day. (I even drew in the guestbook of the B&B)
So here are my sketches from today are below...

These are amazing! you have such a clean style -they remind me of old style architectural sketches done with fine Rotring pens! Again, love the documentational style, and the watercolours really bring them to life. If you did these every day you'd have one amazing diary :)

Great work! I like your mix of media too - for the stuff "on the road" is that colored pencils? Your watercolors are delicious! Somehow I now crave a skinny latte :)

borrominibear, it is so interesting to look in your journal, thank you!
Could you write what you used for lines on 2nd and 3rd sketches from the end? is it brush?

thanks everyone!

The two car sketches were done with a pentel pocket brush pen... lots of fun to do quick sketches with!

Here is a link to the pen
