Every day matters a New York diary - by Danny Gregory is a new discovery of mine...

it's a touching and inspiring story on one side and on the other it shares great points about drawing ... and seeing ! Things that interestingly I've been pondering as well thanks to Sketchcrawling ....

It is all about seeing and looking ... taking our time to do that ...
That is what is wonderful about drawing ... you get to know your sorroundings in such a deeper way ... things around us whiz by and we barely notice usually ... but not when we're drawing .. then we are taking time to look ... observe ... to get to know the details of things ... it is really like meeting things around you for the first time ...
Danny says it much better then I could ... anyway don't miss it.

Honestly, I don't mean to suck up or anything, but it's pros like you (Mr. Casarosa), Mr. Del Carmen, Mr. Glines, Mr. Timm, Mr. Steven Silver, and so on that inspire me to draw. I mean, I motivate myself, but just seeing those drawings makes me happy, in an enthusiastic kind of way.

Hannah Hinchman's new book was an inspiration! Little Things in a Big Country: An Artist and Her Dog on the Rocky Mountain Front, is all hand drawn/painted & hand written.

I also am inspired by Danny Gregory.
