I invited several local artists for this 56th Crawl, but alas, I had to do another crawl as a solo. I stayed close to home, the coastal headlands in Mendocino County, California, and this time I explored some old dairy barns. One was constructed for a dairy farmer in the late nineteenth century. It seems to be holding up real well, but is becoming engulfed by vines and cypress trees Also sketched at a heather and conifers garden, which is rugged enough to stand up to the strong coastal winds.
The above picture is the nineteenth century barn, being crowded by vines and cypress trees
The above picture is an active dairy barn sheltered somewhat by fog-shrouded cypress trees serving as a windbreak
