PARIS, France - RESULTS

Post by AnneWbr »

The rendezvous :

- 10:30 am at Monoprix Café inside the CNIT building

- 1 pm : we will have a picnic at the Place de la Defense (lawn very close to Calder's red Spider) (it's possible to buy some food inside the shopping centre - les 4 Temps)

- 5pm at Le Café de la Place (inside the CNIT again) where we will wrap up the day together looking at our sketchbooks.

There are several works of art displayed, here is a map to see them :

It was a lovely day with 30 fellow sketchers.
Even if the sky has stayed grey most of the day, everybody enjoyed the sketchcrawl.

It was a wonderful day spent at la Défense pour the SketchCrawl.

I was so pumped for the event that I arrived at the site over an hour before the meeting time.

Things got off to an unpleasant start, however. I was disturbed by mall security during my first sketch of the day -- one of the "Le Ciel Etoilé" in the Quatre Temps. So I sought to spend the rest of the day outdoors in weather that was sometimes cool, sometimes mild, but always rain-free.

And it was great.

Here are my results of the day.

Thanks to Anne who organized the event, and Sophie and Blandine who helped out with preparations. And with 30+ sketchers throughout the day (perhaps more), the turnout was superb.

Fun to read about the day at this event and how wonderful to have such a good group to come together to sketch. Nice drawings with character of La Defense in Paris. Brings back good memories of when I was there. Have to go back!

Claude
