Next Worldwide Sketchcrawl is on Saturday January 31! Where do you want to go and sketch this time? It probably won't be raining, but somewhere with indoor/warm area option would be ideal.

Hi Shiho, I started a Meetup group recently and we had planned to meet at Echo Park on the 31st. However, I would rather we sketch with Sketchcrawl. How about LA Central Library. The front is very attractive and there is plenty of room for the artists. If you already have a sketching event planned in Echo Park, how about inviting more people and making it a sketchcrawl?
Otherwise, we did a winter sketchcrawl at LA Central Library in 2010 - it's a very good space to sketch indeed.
Another idea other people suggested on Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/LAsketchcrawl/) is that January 31 happens to be free museum day so we can go to one of the museums listed here: http://www.museumsla.org/PDF/SoCalMuseu ... _FINAL.pdf

More location ideas are welcome!

I mentioned on the Facebook page that my group has a planned Meetup at Echo Park on the 31st at 10:00 am. Everyone is welcome to join us there or I will reschedule and ask my group to join the Sketchcrawl at another location. However, if I will reschedule, I need to do it soon.

I do like the idea of sketching at a museum.

Thanks for additional suggestions! I also posted to Facebook group - either Echo Park, or one of the museums (La Brea Tar Pits + LACMA might work, since they're next to each other, both indoor/outdoor, free admission that day, and might work with people who first suggested Natural History Museum)

Let's go to Page Museum/La Brea Tar Pits for Los Angeles Sketchcrawl, to take advantage of free museum day!

This is a good place to sketch ice age fossils, Pleistocene Garden and excavation sites.

+optional: we can also choose to walk to either LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) next door or to Farmer's Market/the Grove (about 1 mile/20 minute walk) afterwards for more sketching, and look at each others' sketches over lunch.
