The John Soane House Museum, though fascinating, had one minor drawback: no sketching allowed. After a short while there we moved on to the Victoria and Albert Museum. Here are my sketches:

Tom Wow,
very cool sketches, capturing girls' personalties, and feeling of space. We had a show here of 71 Rembrandt engravings--your fine lines in the architecture remind me of that. Nice memories of the V&A sculpture hall. David Bowie took most of the attention that night, so we had the sculptures to ourselves.
Unbelievable the John Soane wouldn't allow sketching...sounds like our friend's workplace here: It's OK to surf the web or do crosswords, but NO Sketching allowed! :x
Thanks for making our July visit fun!
Mark Say Hi to Neil, Chris, Alena: would like to see their drawings... also Hi to Ian and the London on Location group if you see them! Did Kjulin make it?

Merci beaucoup, Stéphane!

ありがとう, Kumi!

Kjulin made it, Mark, but only after we'd moved on to the V&A. I am afraid that we missed her. She DID manage to dash off some sketches insde the Soane museum, judging by the Steven's Point thread. Rules were made to be broken.

Great sketch results there in Tallahassee. What a resource that museum must be. Little zoos are fantastic for drawing. There was one at Disney World which I liked to visit, chock-a-block with goats climbing over everything, loaded with personality.

HI Tom,
Thanks, I saw Kjulin's posts on the Stevens point thread.
One nice thing about our zoo is that while the animals have large natural habitats, the zookeeps are friendly and accessible. So we could go behind the scenes and even handle some smaller, less dangerous animal, and to sketch close up.

Great sketches! Enjoyed the ones from the Victoria and Albert museum.
Tom or Mark, Are you planning a sketch time at the zoo? That would be an interesting place to sketch at, especially with the animals.
Where would you be posting this information?
Here is my email for a notice if you do: kjulin@uwsp.edu
Thanks, Kathe

Great, Neil! Better late than never...
I like the shell-shaped arch above the window. Nice drawing.
