In spite of almost perfect conditions for the 40th WWSC here in Vienna only three sketchers  showed up at our meeting point at Reumannplatz. Some participiants of the previous sketchcrawls spent their holidays out of Town or were busy with some family affairs.

After a short bus ride and a walk of 10 minutes we reached the Bohemian Prater, a small amusement park at the edge of Vienna in the middle of a local recreation area.
Bohemian Prater originates from a factory canteen of a brickyard. Some of the rides are more than 100 years old and still in use.

At first we spent some time in the meadow and enjoyed the warm sunshine while Alex played the guitar in a very skillful way. Later on we strolled through the Bohemian Prater and took a ride on one of the oldest merry-go-rounds called "Raupe" (caterpillar or crawler) built in 1929. After some snacks we leaved this nice old-fashioned amusement park which features enough motifs for upcoming sketchcrawls.

Hi Wien Sketchcrawlers! What an picturesque city you live in! Must have been fun drawing the rides and kite flyer!
"Better late than never"--I posted Tallahassee [RESULTS] sketches after a great delay. Just returned from a research trip in UK. We met up in London with Alena, Neil, Tom Dow, and Chris for World Wide Sketchcrawl #40 on July 13, 2013. Great to spend time with such interesting people! Also nice to spend 3 weeks focused on art and writing and not on computer work!
You are lucky to have Alex's live music to add to the scenery. My favorite drawing from your day must be Arco Iris's drawing of M9fred which includes his drawing of Alex playing the guitar! Multi-layered and clever idea!
