Hi folks, 38 SketchCrawl it's a january 19, the eve San Sebastian's day , and in Donostia-San Sebastián the people of the city celebrate a festival known as the "Tamborrada". At midnight, in the Konstituzio Plaza in the "Alde Zaharra/Parte Vieja" (Old Town), the mayor raises the flag of San Sebastián. For 24 hours, day and night, the entire city is awash with the sound of drums. The adults, dressed as cooks and soldiers, march in different companies across various parts of the city with different schedules. The celebration finishes at midnight when the city flag is lowered at various locations, while the main meeting point remains the Konstituzio Plaza. From the end of 18th century to the 2nd Carlist War, as a walled military stronghold, the city was the subject of several military actions, sieges and damage, sometimes with dire consequences (especially in 1813), that it was burned.

Hola gente, el 38 sketchcrawl es el 19 de enero, la vispera de San Sebastian, el patrón de la ciudad, y en Donostia-San Sebastian, los donostiarras celebran un festival conocido como la tamborrada. A media noche, en la plaza de la Constitución, en la parte vieja de la ciudad, el alcalde iza la bandera de San Sebastian. Durante 24 horas, dia y noche, toda la ciudad esta invadidad por el sonido de los tambores. Los adultos vestidos de cocineros y soldados, marchan en diferentes compañias atravesando varias partes de la ciudad con diferentes compañias. La celebración termina a media noche, cuando la bandera de la ciudad es bajada y cuando todas las compañias se reunen en la plaza. Este año se conmemora el bicentenario de la quema de la ciudad. Des Euskal Herria Sketchrawl, queremos invitaros a venir a esta maravillosa y bella ciudad para celebrar un fabuloso sketchcrawl.
