Since this sketchcrawl happened to coincide with San Francisco's Alternative Press Expo (APE for short) we met in the morning outside the exposition center so as to maximize our enjoyment. Here are some riders on BART and some of the scenery around the concourse.
Took a walk to 17th and Kansas and sketched this parked cherry picker, but didn't stay too long - too many amazing cartoonists and independent comics to see inside at APE!
Good to see some dedicated sketchers. Nice to meet M. Jakar of Annecy, France! More sketches next time.

Wonderful pencil sketches! I always inspired from your beautiful lines and shadings and would like to make pencil only drawing sometime but I always end up smearing colors on my pencil drawing just because, maybe, I feel insecure about my work without colors...

My husband, Don, and I jumped on BART and headed to the Concourse. After walking around, I saw Susie's Cafe and stopped to sketch it. Then we decided to walk over to Mission Bay Park. What a wonderful place! Water, kayaks, houseboats and a free jazz concert in progress! Who could ask for anything more. Ok, we did proceed to Momo's for a great lunch across the street from AT&T Park. We will definitely re-visit Mission Bay Park.

Gary - I love your double page spreads, especially the cherry picker. Nice work!
Cahusslein - Love the color in the sketch with the sails. Nicely done!
