Our local sketchcrawl group will have an exhibit at the Florida State Museum of Fine Arts June 8 to July 6 to attract new members and ramp up interest for the July World wide Crawl #36. We'll show sketches from previous sketchcrawls and local "Mini-crawls" as well as some members' random sketches from their journals. Here's the announcement flyer:

As a celebration of our continuing drawing and to "draw" more folks into the Sketchcrawl fun, Sketchcrawl Tallahassee has an exhibit called "Sketchin'" June 8 to July 6 at the Florida State Museum of Fine Arts. Thanks to curator Dr. Viki D. Thompson-Wylder and preparator Wayne Vonada and their staff for all their help in making this show a success. There were many many drawings to hang, and it looks great!

Bill Otersen, author of our Sketchcrawl Manifesto, who coined the phrase "Yoga for the Eyes", arrived early and enticed new artists by setting a great example -- drawing most of the evening at the Sketchin' table.
Thanks for your writing, teaching and allowing visitors to thumb through your sketchbook, Bill. Real!

The show really got crowded later, so Sara didn't get any photos after the food and hundreds of visitors arrived at the reception. Thanks for your photos & exhibit slideshow, Sara Chang!

Fantastic show guys... You do yourself proud.

I am able to get a reasonable look at the show from Sara's photos by zooming on my iPad.
I can see Jennifer's "critters" particularly well... Great set Jennifer I love those critters.

It is great to see you have a room of your own to show off the group and I can imagine how it will look when the hordes arrive to consume food

I look forward to seeing more...

July 14th is the 36th World wide sketchcrawl: location = we'll meet at the downtown market Stage at the DoubleTree Hotel end of the market (Adams St end of the Park Avenue Park) Around 9 am. Or just show up anytime and look for people drawing and join in the fun.
Dede Harter graciously offered to coordinate this one since I will be out of town. If you are also out of town that day, you can still participate where-ever you are.
Post your July 14th results on the WWSC yourself (Tallahssee [RESULTS] page is up already) or email your JPGs to me and I'll get to it eventually.
If somebody takes a snapshot group portrait (we usually meet for lunch) to post, that would be nice.
