On Saturday, seventeen sketchers (including four first-timers!) met at Mobile Botanical Gardens, and despite the prediction of rain, we never saw a drop. The day was grey and cool and perfect for sketching.

All of you would have enjoyed the perfect weather without a raindrop. Botanical garden is one of my favorite sketching places too. I can imagine the shapes of the place and pretty flower seeing your beautiful drawings.

I'm excited to find that there's a sketching group in the area. I'm brand-new to sketching, but would like to be part of a group. I live in Daphne, and with the weather moderating, there are some wonderful places here to sketch: the Daphne pier, with views of private piers and little shops. Would someone contact me about plans for other sketching events?
