Vienna, Austria [RESULTS]

Today we had bright sunshine the hole day only with some cold wind in the morning. Nothing reminded on the unstable weather last week and the heavy cloudburst yesterday evening.
Close to our meeting point I began to draw some detail of a japanese garden before the other sketchers arrived. Arco Iris and John made a few quick sketches and had to leave early due to family affairs.
Later on we visited the Vienna zoo in the gardens of Schönbrunn.
Strolling around, watching exotic animals and sketching some of them was very pleasant this afternoon. We should visit the zoo again on one of the upcoming sketchcrawls!

Here are my takes of the day.
I will post the works of the other participants as soon as possible.

Hi M9Fred,
Thanks for looking at our posts of Tallahassee Florida Sketchcrawl today! Thanks for your comments. The Great Oak is about 350 years old and so large and amazing, our drawings cannot convey the sense of majesty of that tree.
My wife was looking at your posts while I was uploading our pictures because we hope to visit Vienna this summer--maybe we'll meet you there for the next sketchcrawl!
I will have art in an exhibit called "Generations" next year. Since Wien is my mother's home, it would be good to sketch there.
Mark Fletcher USA PS I visited Schonbrunn as a boy, but didn't know there was a zoo! We drew at our local Tallahassee zoo (mostly local animals in rehabilitation) for January's 34th worldwide sketchcrawl...
looks like you enjoyed drawing these fun exotic animals

What fun to visit a zoo to sketch. Animals can be trick if they move around a lot!

I enjoy your sketches, especially the Avocet.

Thanks for sketching and sharing!

Lovely sketches! Architecture in Schoenbrunn is great, but I can understand that the animals in the zoo are so nice and interesting that it's hard to resist without sketching them!

Thank you all for your kind and encouraging comments. I'm glad you enjoyed my sketches.
I never had lessons in drawing but sketching offers a nice diversion from daily work.
And it's a challenging task for me to sketch moving animals.

@ markfletcher
It would be nice to meet you in your mother's home town.

Here the works from John and Arco Iris, they both had a busy day and unfortunately no time to visit the zoo.

Hi m9fred and Wien Sketchcrawlers. I will be in Vienna, Austria on July 14th morning for WWSC 36, but probably must be on the train from Vienna to Salzburg by noon. What time do you start? I will watch for a meeting place..it would be fun to meet even for a couple hours. I have been looking at your results for so long.
