Neptune statue

Great sketches everyone. I would have loved to be there. I love Oltrarno.

Would it be possible for someone to indicate who is who in the photos?
Just so I know who I am throwing at when the pictures are pinned to my dartboard.

@ all the Florence Skatcrawlers: You know how much I wanted to be with you...and how much I was sad to go back to France too soon.

So, here is my own "false" Sketchcrawl I made a few days earlier before leaving Florence. I am eager to see all your drawings.



Noon at the KaffeeHaus, all the belle of Florence are ringing.


The trees have been cut very short; it makes them look ill ... but let all the view over Florence clear.


At last a nice day. Florentines and tourists are all in a slow and endless round dance around the lakes. They lie on the grass, dream, phone, play in the light.


A huge statue. I saw many people drew it during the Sketchcrawl. I'm happy I had the same idea


Th Buontalenti grotto. So "special", so weird, so magic... There is an oculus (round hole on the top of the grotto) which let the sunlight in. At the time I draw it, it was illuminating only one statue; everything else was in complete dark.

Finally, as I was back in France, I went to the Sketchcrawl in Château-Chinon. You can see it's results here

Rob, your sketches have wonderfully "dramatic" colours, I really like them. And Massimo, I've enjoyed your chiaroscuro, it has a strong personality! Tatie, I also liked the tender colours and the dreamy atmosphere of your "false" sketchcrawl!
