Gloves

Post by sunilo »

Has anybody found good men's gloves that they can wear while sketching? Everything I own is too bulky too handle a pen or a brush.

Something that isn't fingerless would be nice. It's getting cold in New York, but I'm not quite ready to give up outdoor sketching yet...

Sketching with gloves - difficult to find a compromise between bulky and warm and thin enough to feel a pen or brush between your fingers.
Ask for gloves for running (or nordic walking) at a local sports supply. I own some these gloves which are really thin (but not very warm in heavy wind). Be shure that this gloves have some dots (special material) on the fingers and palm to ensure a firm grip.
Here an example designed for photographers and maybe too bulky for sketching:

What works well for me is a golf glove. They are surprisingly warm, but thin enough to pick up small objects.

Good luck,
Ric (stayin warm in MI :)
