I used: small cotman watercolours, 3 copic markers, Fabriano Artist's journal and a Steadler Triplus fineliner.

I used Sketchbook Pro on a Fujitsu Slate-Tablet PC 5032 on the recent sketchcrawl...battery life is ok o awile when fully charged, but i kept it plugged into the car cigarette lighter. We've been using Toshiba Tablets for storyboarding this past year at my previous job.

I got a deal on ebay on refurb unit 1/2 price... I use it alot in addition to my (HEAVIER) Apple Powerbook old G4 w WACOM 3

It was fun, but will never replace my Rotring Artpen and Moleskin

@ little sister cow and enrico: I allways wonder, that you like to work with the fabriano so much when adding watercolour to your sketches: ours over here tend to be a kind too wavy after water-use --- though the mutiple coloured pages are great!!!

this is a packet i made on my own for my brushes, a towel from inside to dry them fairly well, and a traditional colorful cloth , i close it with a golden ribbon...

I love the bandana idea. I teach outdoor sketching workshops and I have every color of bandana from pink to turq to shiny beaded ones. When I get out 'in the field' I remove the bandana from my neck (or head), snap it out on the ground, lay out the days sketching tools on it, and begin documenting the great outdoors.
I cant tell you how many tiny erasers or fav wee brush I have previously lost/left behind on the ground, on a rock, etc. But since laying out my equipment only on the bandana I have solved supplies and tools camouflaged with the surrounding outdoor site. Now nothing gets left behind but my footprints.

Thank you for sharing alanti, I noticed others (I think Ronnie) using that shape of water brush but wasn't quite sure what it was until I saw it in your kit, it is a Pentel.

Not pictured are 29 5ml artist watercolor tubes I just got. I keep reading how one should use artist grade instead of student grade, I came across someone that was selling their new unused set, so I purchased them. I also won a set of Atelier Interactive acrylics (I attended a demostration with my wife and got lucky - cool medium)

The bag on the left is shown with the back pocket flap half open. There are Pitt sepia pens, Zig Millenniums, and my fav the Pilot Razor Point. There is also a mechanical pencil and a tube of leads, a "M" nib Rotring Art Pen, a pen-type Exacto, a short ruler, a wooden thing for opening WC paper blocks, a set of two Kuretake waterbrushes loaded with two different dilluted versions of black ink, a Sailor brush pen, a Pentel Waterbrush with clear water in it, and a "ViewCatcher" which I never use but ought to.

The small pocket on the front (other side of) of the bag holds the Schmincke Compact metal travel paint box, the folded paper towel, and the little bottle of water. The smaller of the two sketchbooks fits in the big central section of the bag (with cell phone and wallet, if necessary) There is also a little tiny zipper pocket on the front that holds lip balm and some pieces of a broken white Neocolor II water-soluble wax pastel crayon, just in case I feel the need for some white.

I am thinking of using a tripod-based pochade box on occasion and so, in that case, a few more things would go into that central pouch: a 3-section nesting water container and a set of the little hooks that you use to hang stuff from the sides of the pochade box. (I can hang the whole bag from the side of the box by that little "D" ring at the top of the back section. So everything in the back pouch is accessible.) A larger 26-pan paint box might replace the little guy. It will fit into the central section too. A 7"x10" WC paper block rides inside of the closed pochade box.

For the paints I use DSmith (for the most part) watercolors in tubes, that I squeeze into half pans, which slide into slots in the paint boxes.
