Which paper cutter? Fixative?

I want to buy a trimmer/guillotine for home use so that I can make my own journals. Any recommendations? I am UK based. Also can somebody recommend what I should do as have foolishly drawn a sketch on back of one page so it is starting to smudge on following page. I used a mixture of colour pencils. I have seen "working fixative" mentioned, but not sure if that is the same as "fixative" sold here in spray can? Thought of inserting a sheet of ? between the pages, if I make that journal into a new home-made one. All ideas welcomed!
