I enjoyed looking at your 34th Sketchcrawl results page very much, 'Caro'. Was really interested to find that someone else actually ventured forth well wrapped up in winter togs to tackle an outside subject in the middle of a European winter! Well done, and thankyou for the inspiration! You certainly had lots of good subject matter , and the results are beautiful!
I knew I would be outside, sketching, on that day, but decided to do a 'recce' with a friend (+car!) of the planned area instead, as I wasn't at all sure whether it was suitable for an advertised sketchcrawl. I really felt that in January I needed to ensure that appropriate escape from inclement weather was available, and cafes and pubs in Hebden Bridge down in the valley, for example, tend to get very crowded on a Saturday!
Well, we had a wonderful day exploring and sketching the old mill villages of Pecket Well and Old Town,in Calderdale and West Yorkshire, UK, and I will be DEFINITELY be posting this venue for sketchcrawling sometime! I can thoroughly recommend the Hare and Hounds, Old Town, as a picturesque, friendly, comfortable watering-hole/escape, by the way!
I'll put together a blog as soon as I can access a scanner, or maybe sooner if I can manage some decent shots of my drawings!
