London, UK [RESULTS]

Post by zzhenia »

Hi all,
I couldn't meet up with the gang on Regents Canal, so I decided to take a bike trip around my neigbourhood, Kingston Upon Thames and Richmond and make some drawings here. The weather was quite nice, the sun was even too hot at times!
Here's Kingston town center in magenta and blue:

That's Richmond bridge, a view from the Southern bank of the Thames:

And this one is from Richmond park:

Looking forward to see what fellow sketch-crawlers did in the other London locations!

Cheers,
Zhenia

Hi all,
Sorry you could'nt meet us Zhenia .Funny thing is i live round your way and recognize where you sketched.
Four of us met up by Camden Lock and it was excellent. The weather was way better than i thought it would be.

i started with a sketch by the lock

while we were having lunch this guy came up and started telling jokes for money. he was moving his body all the time. I tried to capture it from memory.

We walked along the canal and ended up at the amazing Camley Street Natural Park, a real sanctuary within earshot of St Pancras station .
Another great sketchcrawl .
cheers everyone.

Great sketches, Neil and Zhenia. Zhenia, your sketches remind me of some of the best classic children's book illustrations. Really lovely!

Fantastic Tom ,really like the way you captured those crazy geese .they seemed to erupt into fights every few mins. also the children doing the pond dip these are really well observed and delicately drawn reminicent of E H Shepard's work . Also kudos for suggesting the camley st natural park, brilliant choice.
Zzhenia i didn't mention how much i liked your sketches the economy of knowing just what to include makes your work amazing to look at. It seems effortless.
