A chilly, windy day in New Jersey. After some discussion about where we should do this crawl, my sister Joan and I decided on a small section of the city of Paterson that had a couple of famous landmarks within a short distance of each other. The first was Lambert Castle, situated on a hill overlooking the city.
While I was finishing up, Joan started a sketch of the fountain behind us. I only had time to do a very quick lay-in sketch before it was time to move on.
Down the road from the castle was the Great Falls of Paterson, a beautiful waterfall right in the middle of a big city.
On our way home we stopped at a local farm stand to sketch some of their produce and Halloween decorations.
Even though it was cold enough to be bundled up in our winter outerwear, it was a great sketchcrawl.
