Switzerland, Ballenberg (Results)

Post by globesketcher »

In cold und rainy weather 8 of hard-bitten sketchers visited the diversified Swiss open-air museum Ballenberg, who generously sponsored us with a free entrance. http://ballenberg.ch/en/Welcome

In a fantastic landscape you can visit all types of original traditional farmer houses of the different Swiss regions with living animals and typical handicrafts. It would give best stuff for drawing for weeks but already after one hour we got frozen and wet so for a while some sat in the warm snuggery of a 230 year old house to make portraits of two visitors or enjoyed coffee in the restaurant.

Various styles of drawings. All are wonderful! Horse drawing on black paper is especially impressive to me.

Some wonderful sketches here; I always make a point of looking for the Swiss entry (maybe there's sometimes been more than one city, but if so, they've all been terrific.)

Lovely to see some of the Swiss countryside and very brave artists on a cold day. Particularly like your detailed and colourful sketches Martin
