Today was great as I connected with two other sketchers here in Doha, Mahmoud & Nasrin, and so there were 3 of us sketching in Souq Waqif, Doha. The majority of the sketching was done whilst sitting in cafés, although that was not an option when Mahmoud and I drew a sleeping porter. Here is my drawing and a photo of Mahmoud sketching.



Unfortunately, the others did not want to share their results today, but here are the rest of mine.

I love the first tower like building sketch! What name is the building? It is gorgeous. I also love the blue door and the view from the café

Kumi the building is the Qatar Islamic Cultural Centre. I predict more drawings of this to come

Nice sketches with various subjects! From architecture to instant portrait, to street scene.
About the cafés... drawing from a café is perfect. You sit, sip and sketch, hehe.
I wish I had the chance to visit the city when I was around there but I only landed and departed through the airport.

I'd like to, but my work in Oman finished, at least for now, so I have no plans to come by. But I will someday, inshaallah.

Good sketching; I especially liked the way you captured the warped doors, and their thin color washes.
