Vienna, Austria [RESULTS]

Postby m9fred » Mon Aug 02, 2010 12:25 am

Wonderful, best conditions for a Sketchcrawl after heavy rains during last night. Partly cloudy in the morning and bright sunshine in the afternoon.
And best of all: Two new but very enthusiastic Sketchers, Bikeman and Schmetterling14, joined our small group today!

That's me, sketching on top of the world!

We met at the Planetarium near the Vienna Prater, a large public park
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prater

and after a few sketches we had a walk through the Wurstelprater, an amusement park with traditional and modern attractions like carousels, bumper cars, rollercoasters and haunted houses and the Wiener Riesenrad, a Ferris wheel.
We were distracted by all these attractions and almost forgot to do some more sketches! Fortunately my girlfriend with our dog came around to check if we are busy sketching and not taking too many rollercoaster rides  .

Here our takes of the day:

Sally, tired and bored just before we finished our sketching.
On our way home we played with her on a huge meadow.

How amazing! Your aliens in the photos look just like the ones in nearby Roswell, New Mexico! I've seen them there when traveling. I hope you will sketch them.

An amusement park! Great place to sketch with interesting structures and people around. Your group made terrific pictures, but I kind of wish someone had sketched lovely Sally, too. :)

Hi Mannfred, Several people did sketch dogs this latest sketchcrawl, so Sally's picture would be welcome anytime. :-)
I can imagine spending a sketchcrawl day wandering around looking for dogs to sketch at parks, at the city animal shelter, at pet supply stores, etc. It would be a fun theme. Best wishes, Mary (CrowTalk)
