BLOIS, France [RESULT]

Post by guillaume » Mon May 17, 2010 11:02 pm

Hi,

for this 27th sketchcrawl, I was alone...AGAIN!! So, after a consultation with me and myself, we decided to spend the day turning around the cathedral. No fight, we all agree
it's one ofthe highest point in the city. Behind the cathedral, next to the city hall you have a nice garden called "jardin de l'évéché". From there you can see a nice panorama on the "Loire" river bank, the neighborhood called "Vienne" and the bridge "Jacques gabriel"(last drawing).
Two hundred meters in front of the cathedral a stair called "Denis Papin (the steam machine's inventor) let you go down to the bridge, with an impressive perspective view (first drawing).
Fortunatly when you have to go up, a nice bar terrasse is waiting for you at the end of the stair. It's where I took a little break for coffee and...sketched some tourists.
A lot of street are called "degree", making reference to the degree you have to "climb"in Blois! One of them in front of the cathedral we lead you to this old house I draw.

I hope you will like them :D !

Happy 17th of May by the way. We missed you here in Oslo. ;)

Oh, what beautiful sketches! I especially love the two distance views. Nice sense of space and perspective. You had a very successful sketchcrawl.

Those are some really wonderful sketches. I'm glad you had an easy time of convincing your "crew" to set out for a day of Sketchcrawling.

Amazing detail! You and yourself did some wonderful work and made some great decisions. I was by myself, too, except for my daughter who drove me, and my grandson who spent the day, wanting to buy toys!

Bravo Guillaume pour ces superbes croquis ! Courage, tu vas bien finir par convaincre d'autres "croqueurs" ! En tout cas, ne t'arrête pas, c'est un plaisir !

But you are not alone, we are all sketching with you! But from a distance where we cannot distract you and see what you accomplish! Brilliant sketches. Thank you for being persistent so we can enjoy.
