Barcelona, Spain - [RESULTS]
here my participation to the sketchcrawl in barcelona.
we met placa españa, went to the art foundation "la caixa forum", then in front of the "mnac", had a picnic in a park of the montjuic, visited during the rain the "museu d'arqueologia", had a coffee on a terrace, and decide to continue at night for the "nit dels museus" ("cccb", and "museu barbier-muller d'art precolombí…") to finaly had a dinner around 10pm at the pim-pam burger in the born.
a really great day in a very good company!
but I must tell that I spoke a lot more than I sketched

Re: Barcelona, Spain - [RESULTS]
We had quite a nice day over here in Barcelona, besides a short spring shower after lunch.
A lot of new people came along and it was great to meet all of them as well as the other "veterans"!
Meeting point was Plaza Espanya, but pretty much everybody started drawing from the rooftop of CaixaForum, here's my view of MNAC from there.
After that straight up to MNAC steps, a lot of people was enjoying the views of the city.
Another view of the same steps.
Lunch time arrived and some of us ate our sandwiches in a park right behind MNAC and Fundació Miró started raining a bit and interrupted after-lunch sketches, we got shelter inside the Museu Etnològic de Barcelona, the next drawings belong to pieces of their permanent exhibition.
A ceramic vase called Jicara from SouthAmerica.
A calaca from Mexico and a clay statue from Perú.
After the visit few of us went for a coffee in a terrace at Paral·lel, here's a sketch of Martí (one of our newcomers listening carefully to Lapin)
Just three of us left (Lapin, Martí & myself) headed towards the city center to enjoy the Nit dels Museus, after visiting the exhibition at the CCCB I sketched one of the visitors.
Before dinner we stopped by Barbier-Mueller's Museum of Precolombian art, where I did my last two sketches of the day.
A little Mixteca stone statue and an Aztec one.
I hope everybody had a nice day as I had it myself. I enjoyed the company and hopefully see you all soon!

Re: Barcelona, Spain - [RESULTS]
Yesterday I take part in Sketchcrawl Barcelona 2010, I went to Montjuic and did some sketch:
1) The first is the Palau Nacional de Montjuic
2) the second once is Plaça Espanya
3) A garden in Montjuic
4) A totem of Etnologic museum, because it was rainning.
I did this sketch using two felt-tip pens one grey and the other black.

Wow! What lovely bunch of sketches you made!

Re: Barcelona, Spain - [RESULTS]
We had quite a large turn up for the Barcelona group this time (great to meet everyone). Luckily the day started off with sunshine (we had a lot of rain the previous days). These first two are from the rooftop of CaixaForum, looking towards Mnac, although I'm not sure what buildings they are (they pop up from among the trees). Having problems scanning these results, for some reason the scanner is turning the off white paper to a dirty shade of pink.
This one is from the steps of Mnac looking down towards the city with a view of the Sagrada Familia (the sun kept hiding behind the clouds and reappearing, constantly changing the shadows, so I left this one a bit frustrated, after putting my jumper on and off a few times!)
Spotted a statue through a gap in the trees, for some reason it brought to mind the great Frank Frazetta who died last week.
These are from a few people sitting around Mnac and some from when we stopped for something to eat in a near by park.
This is the last one of the day for me as the rain coincided with the time I had to head home ( view from park looking back towards Mnac).
Great to see everyone else's results from the day! I missed out on the museum trip!
As we didn't get to visit half of the places we planned to (Castle, Cactus garden etc. ) maybe we could continue in Montjuic for the next Crawl?
