I sketched in and around the Ferry Building most of the day. There was plenty of things to sketch and paint along with food and drink from the Saturday Farmers Market and indoor market stalls.

I always love the posts from San Francisco!

Goro-I've been wondering how the Ipad works for sketching...thanks for sharing your great sketches!

Janabouc- Great view of the cable car on the hill. And I love the playful Victoria’s Secret store!

Splinesmith- Love your brush lines on the ferry building.

Pete- Such a great drawing from the train. I’m curious what you were reading, looks like comics.  I also really like the German building with all the shields on the front.

Enrico- Really love the pose of the old guy with his arms behind his back. I feel like I’ve seen him on the street before. 

Milkgap- You’ve captured the energy of that band, I feel like they’re still jamming!

I was in New York City this week for my son’s graduation from NYU at Yankee Stadium. I returned to San Francisco slammed with a raging strep throat so couldn’t participate in the May 15 Sketchcrawl. But here are assorted sketches from the previous week in the spirit of Sketchcrawl. I'll post the first few of these in the San Francisco Results because they were done at an exhibit of beautiful jade in the International terminal of the San Francisco Airport. (You'll see my New York Sketches on the New York Results page. --viewtopic.php?f=50&t=5209&start=15#p26390)

Great hanging out with everyone, drawing, and meeting new people. It was fun! Goro, ice work on the ipad. I think that's the way to go! Next Christmas present for me.. And everyone else's sketches. All beautiful, spontaneous!!
Can't wait till the next one.

Here's some of my sketches from that day. Man, please forgive me if something looks wrong. This is my first post with pictures I think.

I saw the clarinet player last time I took the ferry to SF. My granddaughter was delighted with the music and wanted to go home to learn how to play. She is 4. Thanks for the good memory.
