How about meeting at 1PM across the street from the beautiful, old Campbell Castle (1155 N. River Boulevard)? We can sketch/paint there for a few hours. There should be many interesting views to capture and share of the river, the old structures, the disk golf players, Saturday parkgoers, etc.
Perhaps there will be traces of the Wichita River Festival to include in our pictures.
Since the Global Sketch Crawl is a marathon event, you could sketch something beforehand and we can post those images in the results of the sketch crawl, if you like. First Wichita Sketch Crawl!
There should be parking available either in Oak Park or in the residential area near Campbell Castle. By "across the street" I mean near the 11th Street Bridge so we have a good view of the Campbell Castle.
