Blois, FRANCE [RESULT]

Post by guillaume »

Blois does not offer many places protected from rain and cold.
Being alone on Blois to participate to this artistic day, I opted for the "car" which allowed me to discover some interesting views.
This choice was the good one because at 15:00 it started to rain.
Even if my productivity was not fabulous (only 2 sketches for an afternoon!), I allowed myself to make a little color version (watercolor), following the rythm of "ballet" of windshield wipers!
So, here it is.
enjoy!
Guillaume.

Wow...! Awesome! Beautiful sketches.
The second one with some colors looks like a picture book. I really like your sketch  Thank you for sharing!

ONLY 2?! But they look like you rented a set and a whole lot of props, created your compositions, photographed them, and then traced the photos with pretty pens. They're both stunning. And using the rhythm of windscreen wipers? inspired! It made me look at your paint strokes in a whole different way.

Hey Mr. lonely drive-by sketcher. Nice to see you had your own little SketchCrawl in Blois. :D
Great stuff as always! I really love the watercolor sketch!
You should return to Oslo for the next SketchCrawl. Or perhaps we should come to Blois? It looks like a much more interesting place to go sketching.

Thanks a lot :D
Olve, I'm ready to come back to Oslo, specialy after 5pm, during a sunny day with the barbecue, the swim-suit, few drinks, the beach and some good friends 8)
 to Maya!
Thek, My car is too small to carry this set unfortunatly.
Maki_Maron, thank you, I'm really inspired by the old Masters, I'm glad you like my work.
Guillaume.

Oh, my, what beautiful sketches!

I too have sketched from the car in the rain - not easy, but you did a fantastic job of it.

Oh my. These are stunning! Superb choice in colors for the second sketch. And I love how you liken the sound of your windshield wipers to a ballet. :D

These are beautiful Guillaume!........you my friend are a sketch master. I would love to sit by and watch one of these beauties unfold. I'm in awe of how you can make all of these architectural elements come together, and still have the sketch retain a nice looseness to the sketch.
