Whitley Bay, UK [Results]

Post by dominic » Sun Feb 28, 2010 12:43 pm

It was a wet horrible day. As usual I had done no advertising so no surprises that I was the only one there! But I figured that would not stop me and it meant that Whitley Bay sketchcrawl has been going for 4 months now :)

So what do you do when it rains? You draw puddles!

This was a concrete block at the edge of the promenade, it had a small hole in it were water had pooled. I liked the interference pattern on the surface of the pool.

I have to confess to doing very quick pencil sketches then spending a bit of time fixing them in pen and ink indoors with good coffee, it was bucketing down.

Next sketchcrawl should be spring time and hopefully better weather, maybe I will get some posters made or something..

Oh thanks Beth  Yup I suppose rain is like noise in your eyes. I think that's why these drawings have lots of what looks like tv static in them.
