New Mexico, USA [RESULTS]

Post by Okra » Sat Feb 27, 2010 9:34 pm

Here, I have added some sketches from around town (alamogordo, nm) throughout the past month.

A sketchcrawl of one is still a sketchcrawl, right? I hiked up Fresnal Canyon in the high desert of the Lincoln National Forest to Harris Hollow where the New Mexico Rails-to-Trails Assoc is building a hiking trail past Bridal Veil Falls. The trail is scheduled to be opened on June 5, 2010, as part of National Trails Day events. Today was a cool, high-cloud day (read: not much for shadows) and still. No sounds around me at all except an occasional bird chirping.

The old ranch house at Harris Hollow has been crumbling since the last residents moved away 20 years ago.

Don't worry of sketchcrawling solo; I used to do it and now our Bangkok group grows so much bigger. Love your New Mexico colors and the elegant simple lines.

The truck reminds me of the truck in "Cars", the animation. :D

I LOVE the abandoned truck. Sounds like you had a lovely, peaceful hike.

Hey: A crawl's a crawl! And with worldwide sketchcrawl, you're never really alone! Bravo on your solo show!

Great results

Solo is fine - I've done 2:3 alone so far, but admit I am jealous of those who get a group together.
